Meanwhile, the Jamaica Football
Federation and SuperClubs Resorts Group announced a $40-million
sponsorship yesterday at the JFF office. The deal commenced in May
and will run through to December 2010.
The deal - according to, entails
offering accommodation to the JFF at concessionary rates, and
makes the super-inclusive hotel chain comprising Grand Lido
Resorts & Spa, Breezes Resorts, Hedonism Resorts and Starfish
Trelawny Resort & Spa the second largest sponsor, in kind, to the
federation, behind equipment manufacturers Kappa, out of Turin,
Italy.
The hotel chain is also expected
to play a major role in the eight-team Digicel Caribbean Football
Tournament to be hosted by Jamaica in early December.
Most of the games will be played in the western end of the island,
and the visiting teams will be housed at the various Resorts
within the SuperClubs chain. |
